Terence J. Clas is one of the Manufacturing USA Institute’s, business development executive in New York State. This function is administered by Empire State Development’s, Division of Science, Technology & Innovation. His concentration is on the AIM Photonics Institute, located in Rochester, NY. Terry’s responsibilities are to engage industry, government and academic institutions to discuss the technical resources, funding mechanisms, workforce development, and collaboration opportunities available through AIM Photonics. Previously, Terry served as the Corporate Vice President, New Business Development and General Manager of the Industrial Inspection Division at VFO, LLC. His career also includes, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales for VMP Nutrition providing overall leadership and management of the company’s strategic and tactical marketing & sales functions worldwide. The majority of Terry’s career (27+ years) was working at Eastman Kodak Company with a variety of leadership roles that include Director, Corporate Marketing Programs, Chief Marketing Office; Technology & Business Development Manager – for Kodak’s Equipment Manufacturing Division and Unit Director, Manufacturing Systems Technology Development, in corporate research and development. Terry holds a Master of Science Degree from the National Technological University (NTU) in Technology Management and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from Buffalo State University.
