James Kostenblatt serves as Senior Director of Industry Development at Empire State Development (ESD), focusing on financial services, software services, and cleantech. James also serves on ESD’s foreign direct investment team. Prior to joining ESD, James held leadership roles at New York University’s Wasserman Center for Career Development and the U.S. Peace Corps Northeast Recruitment Office. He also spent three years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mozambique. James holds a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Boston University.
