Commercialization Competition
As part of the Jeff Lawrence Innovation Fund, FuzeHub will hold its eighth annual NYS Commercialization Competition on October 28 & 29, 2024. Finalists will compete in person during the New York State Innovation Summit.
FuzeHub’s annual Commercialization Competition gives companies from across New York State the chance to compete by demonstrating the commercialization potential of their technology or product.
2023 Awardees
Ashlawn Energy is based out of Binghamton, NY and founded by Norma Byron. Their product - the VanChargTM - is a Vanadium Redox Flow Battery which charges from electrical sources like wind, solar, or the electrical grid, and discharges power as needed to support a building's energy load. Opal Wearables is based out of Brooklyn, NY and founded by Jen Chiang and Lance Norman. Their product is a fashionable ring with added technology that can discreetly contact 911 with the touch of a button, keeping the wearer safe and comforted in necessary situations. ReVert Technologies, founded by Denise Katzman and Ryan Lee and based out of New York City, created smart adapters that automatically power off appliances when you don't need them, conserving energy and money. Epic Airway Systems was founded by Eric Moses and Keith McKenna in Schenectady. EPIC Airway combines an endotracheal tube and a laryngeal mask into a single device, making for a seamless transition as a patient's medical needs change. RHM Innovations is based out of Rochester. The founders, Courtney J. Burris and Brandon J. Burris, created an assistive bathing system that brings ease to showering patients in care facilities. Soulo was created by founders Jialin Ke and Joshua Zhu in Brooklyn. They are on a mission to improve the design of products for seniors. Their Soulo Nail Trimmer, a long-handled electric toenail trimmer, makes it easier for aging individuals to feel independent. DUB Biologics is based out of Syracuse, and founded by Audrey Bernstein and Tere Williams. They are hoping to change how corneal injuries and scarring that can lead to vision loss are treated. We look forward to working closely with you and your team to revolutionize siRNA therapy, designed to promote wound closure and protect against infection and scarring.
