A leader in technology, known for delivering practical solutions to complex real-life Communication Systems problems and challenges. Holder of a PhD in Optical Fiber and Wireless Communication Systems and a Professional Doctorate in Engineering (PD.Eng) in ICTs.
My career has consistently been at the cutting-edge of technology advancement and I have built a long track record of delivering practical solutions to complex real-life ICT and Communications Systems problems and challenges. As a Research Associate and Research Manager at Corning’s Research and Development Center with an Electrical Engineering background, I have helped to create new business opportunities for my employer by developing tested novel solutions for high-performing state-of-the-art optical fiber and wireless communications systems, leading teams of outstanding Scientists and Engineers, and recruiting and developing top talent in STEM fields along the way. As one of the pioneers of research into high-capacity fiber-radio systems, I worked with different teams to achieve and demonstrate record-breaking pre-5G mmWave wireless data systems. My track record of accomplishments covers several technical areas – including Access and In-building Communication Networks, Consumer and Enterprise Solutions for 4G LTE, Wi-Fi systems, and mmWave 5G wireless systems. I have been awarded 20 US and international patents and have published over 85 peer-reviewed technical publications in top Scientific Journals and International Conferences.
I aspire for excellence in everything I do. With strong written and oral communication skills, I enjoy the art of simplifying extremely complex technical challenges and problems to facilitate timely and effective action by technical teams, business people, and executives. I am passionate about developing and enabling people to succeed in their goals. I have extensive International experience – having lived and worked on 3 continents, visited and done business in more than 30 countries, and learned to speak 4 languages. I know first-hand that diversity of backgrounds, experiences and thought inspires the highest levels of creativity and innovation. In 2014, I was recognized as Scientist of the Year by Black Engineer of the Year Awards (BEYA) for my technical contributions to Science and Technology – and became a member of the exclusive club of less than 200 Emerald Honorees nationally. BEYA’s Emerald Honorees are among some of the most creative and innovative professionals in the US.
