Dr. Kevin Gu is the founder and CEO of a NY-based startup Astrabeam working on millimeter-wave and sub-THz components and systems for sensing and communication applications. Dr Gu is the Chair of “RF and Terahertz Technologies” Technical Committee of IEEE Electronic Packaging Society (EP-S). He has authored and coauthored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, 3 book chapters and holds 9 issued patents. He is the recipient of “2022 Exceptional Technical Achievement Award” from IEEE EP-S for his “seminal contributions to the development of antenna-in-package (AiP) technology that have had a profound impact on electronic packaging”. He is the recipient and co-recipient of 9 best paper awards and multiple external career accomplishment awards.
