Biography

Rachel Grazda, PhD, is a scientist and Co-Founder of Resolvia Biosciences, an Albany Medical College spinout developing new therapies for chronic inflammation. Her doctoral research helped uncover the science behind Resolvia’s therapy, which combines an FDA-approved immunosuppressant with a molecule that resolves inflammation and restores damaged tissue. Current treatments can suppress inflammation without fully resolving it, leaving patients dependent on long-term therapy and its toxicities. Resolvia aims to change this paradigm with therapies that help patients achieve lasting remission rather than lifelong drug dependence. Rachel is now working to move this discovery toward the clinic and, ultimately, to the patients who need it most.
