Matt Watson is a Senior Vice President at Empire State Development and Executive Director of its Division of Science, Technology and Innovation (ESD/NYSTAR). During his time leading this state division responsible for advancing technology-led economic growth, Matt has overseen NYSTAR’s doubling in size, including by securing innovation-related federal funding opportunities, developing new initiatives, and aligning the state’s high-tech investments into a cohesive system of industry assistance.
