Michael Shimazu is Senior Advisor for Business Growth and Innovation at the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA), where he has initiated and developed the Authority’s portfolio of programs helping grow innovative climate technology companies as they bring their solutions to market. Prior to joining NYSERDA, Mike worked in senior technology transfer and commercialization roles at Upstate research universities and founded a venture-backed startup in the photonics industry. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
