Michael Sieffert, who goes by “Seef”, is a Chief Engineer at Assured Information Security where he has worked since 2003. At AIS he has contributed to and lead small teams of engineers developing advanced capabilities that increase the DoD’s ability to maintain a secure network posture and to understand threats posed by adversaries. One of Seef’s primary interest areas is that of software reverse engineering, the act of seeking understanding application behavior without the benefit of looking at source code. Seef has also recently taken an interest in the electrical engineering skillset and is taking classes to become more proficient in that area.
