Dr. Nisha Maheshwari is the co-founder and CEO of CaroRhythm, a medtech startup developing a non-invasive, outpatient wearable device to monitor stroke survivors for recurrence. They were drawn to stroke care after seeing its effects first-hand within their family. Nisha received a PhD in Biomedical Engineering from NYU Tandon, where they developed CaroRhythm’s foundational technology and published a human-subject proof-of-concept study. They lead CaroRhythm’s technical development and operational strategy, focusing on clinical and strategic partnerships for early adoption. Nisha is motivated by making healthcare more accessible for under-resourced communities. They are a Female Founder Fellow and advocate for diversity in entrepreneurship.
