Biography

Mason A. Peck is the Fujikawa Professor of Astronautics at Cornell University, where he directs the New York Consortium for Space Technology Innovation and Development. A former Chief Technologist at NASA and at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, he has held senior leadership roles across academia, industry, and government, shaping national space-technology strategy and advancing next-generation spacecraft systems. His work spans mission design, guidance and control, and small-satellite architectures, with experience from early-stage concepts through flight operations and over a dozen space missions.
